How to use toning conditioner for red poodles?
Shampooing alone is not enough. If you don't hydrate your poodle's hair after bathing, the color fades, the hair dries out, and knots start to appear. After applying the toning shampoo, the conditioner is the second most important step for its red color to truly shine.
Step 1: Wash with toning shampoo
To start, cleanse with Perfect Red shampoo:
- Apply with gloves to wet hair.
- Massage and leave on for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Rinse with plenty of water.
This step deposits the pigment and prepares the hair fiber to absorb the conditioner.
Step 2: Hydration and color fixation
Apply the conditioner from mid-length to ends, on still damp hair:
- Apply with gloves to wet hair.
- Leave it on for 3 to 5 minutes for deep hydration.
- Gently massage to distribute the product well and activate the pigments.
- Rinse with water until all residue is removed.
